I use Autoglyn Super Resin polish which I got from Halfords and it covers up most minor scratches!

Tried Autoglym a couple of times...

However it didnt do what it said it would I tried Zymol, 12quid a bottle from Halfords.

Its in a blue bottle and it smells very nice!

You should actually do everything it says to on the back of it. Wash it properly, dry the car, wax it, buff off... Then the bit I thought it was weird, "spray a fine mist of water over the bodywork" so I did (with MANY confused looks from the neighbours ), then rubbed it in, and then finally buffed it all off and I couldnt believe the difference it had made to my car.

I drive a Series 2 RS Turbo, its black, and although its been cared for and polished regularly since new, after I had finished it was looking 100times better than when I had used Autoglym on it.

I wont ever go back to Autoglym now that I have used this stuff, and if this is what the cheap stuff from Halfords does then should I have enough money spare I might actually go for one of their expensive kits and really make my car gleam inside and out!!

Cheers,
Grant

Agree with Grant, the Zymol stuff from Ellfords is excellent if you don't want to spend £100+ on Swissol. They also sell the shampoo by Zymol aswell, both smell great the only thing is it can be quite a bit of work buffing and then doing the wet flatening but the results are worth it.

Thumbs up

I was at a meet recently and one of the guys had Swissol/Zymol 'd his car. Didn't look any better than mine and same beaded reticulation after it rained. Difference ? He paid £150 and mine was £5. Simoniz Original. Cheap. Lasts a good 6 months once applied. Tin lasts 6-8 full applications. Only downsides are, it's very labourious to apply and Holts have taken over Simoniz so it might get dropped as a poor seller (most ordinary folk can't be @r5ed). Good job I have 20 tins in my shed then
