got these today, all lovely and colour coded, too!, from Impreziv motorsport (thanks John!)...

Do you think I can get the old units out! Can I f**k!

I've undone all 5 bolts, but it's like they're stuck fast!

I can get a purchase on the top of them to pull, but it looks as though you need to pull them from the side too, but because of the rubber seals I can't get hold of anything to pull it.
Even had someone trying to push the bolts through from the indside but no joy.

As with so many of these things there must be a 'knack' but I don't seem to have it. Any hints and tips would be gratefully received...
Totally gutted as I have to crooooze tonight with a standard ****

IIRC it will be the mastic/silicon sealent stuff which is holding them in place.

Use a hairdryer or similar to heat the mastic from the inside. Sooner or later it'll soften and you'll be able to easily remove the cluster.

I did my rear lights last year, and as greasemonkey said - a hairdryer is the way forward.
It takes a while for the sealent to soften (about as long as it takes to smoke a *** )
When you fit the new lights, use plenty of Silicon sealer to make sure there will be no leaks.

Brun, do you still need to use silicon even if you use a rubber gasket supplied?

My lights didn't have this rubber gasket, so i can't really answer
If i was in your shoes, i would fit them with the gasket, but i would watch for any puddles in the boot. If a puddle appears then silicon sealer it is
