Anyone seen these in the flesh? Look quite interesting, could be colour-coded to the car and still allow use of the fogs/driving lights like the MY01 covers.

Wouldn't mind seeing a pic of them on a car first though in case they look crap when fitted!

Hi Paul,
Just bought a set of these from the same guy, should have them by early next week, I'm hoping they are going to look OK as they look good quality. I'll probably leave the mesh part black and paint the rest.
I questioned the fitting method, apparently they come with special screws and don't require brackets.

Before I bought them I scoured the web for the source, with no luck.

Nice one, look forward to seeing a pic of them. If they look good it could be an ideal compromise between covers and being able to still use the lights like STI7s can.

OK here we go, only put in place for the pics. They are very good quality and an excellent fit. I've not seen a set of 02 mesh covers up close before but I would guess these are as good.

They come supplied with 3" self tapers which just screw into the back of the fog light housing. I'm going to source some stainless anti-tamper screws instead.

They look OK as they are but I'll probably paint the outer edge.

Cheers Boro,
I've never seen them for a 98, having said that I'd never seen them before for a MY00.

Nice, definitely think it will finish them off perfectly with the edges painted

Now coded.
After a bit of a fiasco with the paint, Halfords came to the rescue . They use the Holts mixing system which can mix any colour, even better they actually know how to use it.

Very nice - I want some! Where do you get them from? And how much? Only ones I've seen that look vaguely similar are at TSL, but they don't look as good (although the pic on their website isn't that clear).

David,
these are one of only three sets that were sold on e-bay recently, I paid £67 but the others went for a little less. I don't think they are the same as the TSL ones, these have a separate mesh section which is removable (handy for painting).
They are very good quality, the mesh is plastic coated and the fit is excellent.
Keep a check on e-bay in case more come up for sale.
