I have an STi7 and need to put a new number plate on the back with the GB Euro sign to stop me having to stick a big GB sticker on the car when I go to France.
Having decided on the design of the plate I had a look at my existing one. As there are no screws I assume it is held on with double sided tape. Will the plate be easy to remove/cause damage as plastic seems fairly flimsy. Any tips welcome.

Pulled mine off a few times - difficult but possible.
My car is a clasic as you know, but its still flimsey plastic bumpers!
Gently pull it off bit by bit

You could try warming with a hairdrier / het gun on LOW power to soften the glue on the sticky pads.
I've also heard that dental floss makes a good saw for this purpose...

i ahve done this one loads of times if you give it a good wash down first and dampen the pads they will tear down the middle with ease..... then just rub away the sticky exess that is left and start again with No plate adhesives that are about 3 squid
