Will a main dealer be able to provide a set of these, will they fit an my97 that doesn't have them and do they just stick on or is it clips. I never noticed them on an impreza before and my car needs the doors protecting.

P.s do they come colour coded?

Nick, you can get them from a main dealer, they will fit all years of cars, and they can be colour coded if you wish, it'd be a bodyshop job though, they don't come painted, and they stick on, no need to drill anything!

I had colour coded side protectors put on my DBM MY99, cost £226.

I think they look OK even if they do spoil the lines of the car a bit, much better than dents though.

Pcdude,

The strips were £46+
Having them colour coded was the expensive bit but as the rest of my car is coded I had to do it.

I was told that a plasticiser had to be added to the paint to keep it flexible when set. Ordinary paint could/would crack if the protectors are flexed i.e. hit by a door or during fitting.

They did a good job on mine, the paint matches and they masked off the Impreza badge on the rear door strip very tidily.
