Colour Coding - Deep Green (MY94)
A few questions regarding colour coding, front spoiler, side skirts and door handles.
I'm thinking of colour coding my Deep Green MY94 and understand that Daewoo Racing Green or Ford Juice Green are a very good match.
With resepct to doing the door handles. How easy is it. Do you have to remove them and does the small black plastic cup that the handles sit on also need colour coding or does this remain black.
Spraying it myself with copiouse amount of laquer will get a good finish after a t-cut or 2, but any other advice would be appreciated.

DON'T try and match using a "nearly" paint, you'll be disappointed
:
Look under "Paint suppliers, automotive" in yp, then buy the proper stuff from them, after giving them the paint code, which should be on a plate under your bonnet. Mine is on the n/s inner wing.
Door handles, mirrors etc should be removed.
The door handles can then have springs and any little rubber bump stops carefully removed and put away safely b4 spraying. The "cup" you describe doesn't need painting, looks good in black, and doesn't take paint well anyway, like the black plastic strip at the top of the sideskirts.
Don't forget to rub down the plastic parts with wet and dry paper to give the paint a key, and use a PROPER plastic primer, or the paint will quickly flake off.

The 2 paints mentioned are a good match as have already used them on front grill.
Tried a paint supplier but the small quantities required for 2 or 3 cans are difficult to mix/match. O.K if larger amounts are required tho'
