Hi All,

Nice day so Ive fully washed etc the car. Go into the boot only find a truck load of water has got in.

Its a rallytech wing, and it looks like the water is getting in the seal and then in through the bolt holes and into the boot.

So Ive put rubber washers round the nut and filled the hole with sealant.

Anyone else had similar issues???

Personally I blame the cowboys who fitted it.

I had this problem with my Scoobysport Spoiler

I took it back and we used a bathroom type sealent round each hole

Its now bone dry in the boot

Ok thats what Ive done round each bolt hole, even used some rubber washers in between the bolt and the surface - so hoping Ive fixed it.

Yep Rallytech spoiler same thing.

I cured the problem by using Sikaflex body adhesive round the bolt holes.

The trouble is now I've got to get the spoiler off to have it re-sprayed, as the paint has bubbled for some reason. Gawld knows how I'm going to get it off easily.

Nathan..

Just use some sealant (or better special spoiler glue) from the internal side and rubbers from the external, this doesn't affect your paint.
