Does anybody know were I can get a hold of a couple of cans of Deep Mica Blue spray paint, color ref 95H. I've tried the local dealer who can only do touch up paint.

Cheers

I've tried Halfords, but they didn't have any Subaru colors.

Did you have to order it in?

Look in the phone book for your nearest Eurocolour, they will mix you up an aerosol in the exact colour of your motor for about £8 a can.

dont forget you will need clear laquer as well.

They should do it in Halfords, I got mine from there.

They don't have any scoob colours on the shelf like you say but they should offer a paint mixing service like my local Halfords does. Just get up to the parts counter, give em your paint code and they'll mix it while you wait.

Question

Easyrider, how did you get on colour coding your bits? (oooer!)
Did you get a good result/finish? What sort of spray gun did you use?
I was quoted £350 to have mine done professionally, and that was with me taking them off the car first! Seemed rather steep to me and I would like to do it myself if I can be sure to get a good result.

DIY, I did, decent spray cans from Halfords (adjustable nozzles) are fine and the finish on mine is spot on, cost me about £35 to do side skirts and rear bumper parts, coz of the textured finish of the bumper you don't have to be a proffessional to get it to look good. My cars mettallic so the finish is in the lacquer anyway

Impret-sir,same as what james said but also dont forget to use plastic primer to get a good bond on the "bits"-if you dont,it wont be long before it starts to flake off. This also applies to painting the side skirts and the bumper lowers (HA HA)

Yeah good point, and get a good 'key' on the plastic before the plastic primer goes on, pay special attention to the thin rubber strip that runs up the side skirt, and it'll need de-greasing and cleaning with meths or similar before any paint goes on
