Went to halfords and they have NO subaru touch up paints at all. Where would I be able to get the white paint for my MY95 WRX type RA for the little stone chips from? Am I right in ruling out dealers because it's an import?

 

The larger Halfords stores mix paint while you wait provided you give them the paint code, car make and model. Although they may not have listings specifically for imports I think the paint code for imports and UK models may be the same. I rang them before I went to confirm they had my colour and they were very helpful.

they also have a colour chart book, so take your car along, and they will get some colour samples to check.

All in all, not a bad service - used them a couple of times now.

don't bother with little scratches mate, had a respray when i got another bonnet

you can get some place close by to mix paint for you, just get a recognised one around the area, subaru dealers should give you the touch up paint if you ask for one and give the paint code number?

 

Avoid Halfords touch up paint. I used it and it has serisouly fooked the finish.

 

looks like I'm gonna have to get the yellow pages out and do this then (should it really be this difficult).

 

Isn't the paint code on a metal plate under your bonnet (mine is). I got hold a Subaru paint thing then.

Yep the paint code is on the plaque under the bonnet

 

i know you are in west london but there is a place in romford that mixed up a touch up pot and some in a spraycan did a great job especially as i have a dark blue mica the spray can i did the skirts and bumper bits and to me it looks just as good as others i have seen

as far as the touchup stuff to start with it looked a bit brighter but within a couple of days it really didn`t notice at all
