Default Rear Arch Repair - How much?

Need the rear arches repairing on my UK300, both sides have started to rust but the drivers side is the worst.

Anyone had theirs done before? Just want a rough idea of what the cost might be........

Guess it's a similar process to the Classic arch repairs, will depend on how far it's gone and as it rusts from the inside out you don't really know until you start cutting, worst case would be £300- £350 a side if it's got down to the sills, it's a fair amount of fabrication work plus the painting.

Thanks, about the sort of price I thought it would be, wish I knew how to do it myself really but not going to attempt it!

Post some pictures, if its a small amount of rust, rub down fill and respray £150, but if arches need cutting and new pieces put in, then can cost silly money depending who you go too.

Mine is in the body shop currently having new sills both sides and drivers rear arch properly replaced after a bridge by a previous bodyshop. Also getting the roof , a pillars and rear 1/4,s painted. The rear arch to be done properly is 450 . Might seem steep to some but I've been updated with photos everyday and quality of work speaks for itself

I paid £600 for an old school craftsman do do my two rear arches on the classic
£120 for replacement arches
£100 for new trim sections

Worth every penny
You might, find you will need work at rear if side sills as well
Also rear turret tops depending how much rust is got a hold

My bugeye had rust on the drivers side which I cut out almost up to the swage line, when I looked at the inner arch that needed cutting back and plating. Ok my work is not the tidiest some may say it's an abortion but it is solid. A few weeks ago I broke a rear jacking point whilst looking at that spotted some rust on the outer sill, also spotted the nearside arch rusting. cut that out not as bad as drivers side, also inner arch needs a bit of work. Checked the outer sill on passenger side found rot there so looks like I am going to be busy. Could have done without it being school holidays though.
I am just glad I can do most things myself or at least have a go and work it out to a good end.

A she'll can be bought for a few hundred - grand, then pay some a grand to transfer. Obviously needs to a mint she'll first though!

Yeah but something like a Bug Wrx is only worth a couple of grand to begin with.

I'm from the have a go myself department, just done both rear arches, sills and a few other bits on my MK1 Golf as well as paint the whole car... it's not perfect but it is solid now and the best bit is it cost me less than £200 to do it, which is much better than the £2k it would of cost from a pro... next time I paint it in about 5yrs I'll be even better at it and still have another 8 goes to get it right.
