Default The Ashes 2013-14

The first test is only a week away at the Gabba

I see Michael Clarke is getting all cocky already naming Englands starting line up as if he has stolen a march, never seen him with that attitude before doesn't suit him and I'm looking forward to us handing them their ***** on a plate again, a repeat of the 2010-11 series will do me .

Only question is who opens with Cook......

Yes, getting excited about this. Truth be told we were fortunate in the summer, let's hope we stamp our authority on it from the start and both a Cook and KP find some form.

They were saying on the radio that between 19 and 22 million people applied for tickets for Tendulkar's last test and his mother finally decided to go and watch him live after 23 years as a pro !

I'm looking forward to watching Ian Botham, I think 'Beefy' will be back to his old self now he's no longer captain.

I think when Boycott comes in to bat he needs to remember that there's no 'I' in team.

You have to ask the question, why did he go, who thought he could be nursed through, surely we'd learned our lesson with Tresco.

He looked out of sorts in the test, not his usual composed self.

At 143-5 we were in with a great shout, then normal service resumed and we didn't go for the throat

That's the worst test series i've had the misfortune of witnessing. I said back in the Summer the convicts should have had Johnson in the side. Harris though has surprised me and their bowling attack has been made to look impressive by a team who can't bat against pace or spin all thanks to having no decent English pace bowlers since Darren Gough and the fact we've got a team of left handers.

I'd like to see South Africa vs Australia at the moment as I think it would be a cracking series on current form.

As for our team Stokes and Broad are the only 2 who can keep their places, the rest of the useless ***** should lose their England contracts and for Christ sake get rid of Cook as captain - got to be the worst unimaginative captain England have ever had. Does he even know how to set an attacking field? I could have set better fields than him

Now for the 1 dayers for another thrashing.

Wow. I really hope we can attone for this. I don't mind people taking wickets but to gloat so badly requires a good English mugging off in my book. In fact I'd like to see us win and be really quite cocky about and see how the natives like it back at 'em.

At the first sight of victory they blew it quite staggeringly This could be a whitewash and the t20 series. I wonder what the odds were or even are now for a whitewash in all 3 formats on the tour.
