The India v England Test Series Thread
Well. KP's gradual reintegration starts with the first warm up match and.... well that's it. Not so much gradual more like instant recall.
I despair I really do

Don't you just love waking up to cricket in the morning, if only we had the weather that they've got.
Are India the only team we play nowadays? At least Vaughan will be getting some abuse on twitter from the Indian fans
Sehwag has built a mighty impressive start from them without a doubt

LOL at the Vaughan comment
At least TMS hung on until the end of play before throwing a wobbly on my pc
Could have done with Monty in tandem with Swanny

I don't think that Monty will get much more than 1 match. Whoever he's upset it can't have been worse than what KP did yet that weasle is back in the squad.

It's that win at any cost mentality that comes with sport in the modern world, for a while I thought the ECB had kept it's nerve and not gone down that road but they soon caved in.
My view on Monty is as they dont rate him as a fielder or batsman he's not good enough for them soley with the bal in his hand. Sadly I reckon he'll be remembered for his innings in Cardiff rather than his 5fers.

It's quite something when all your bowlers manage to beat the individual scores of the specialist batsmen isn't it (barring Cook).
Thank god we've got Bell. Oh no, hold on a minute......

At 119/5 it was looking like a good day but at 266/6 al the good work was wasted imo.
I see KP's re-integration is going realy well
Kevin Pietersen's reintegration with the England team doesn't extend to staying in the same part of the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower in Mumbai as the rest of the touring squad for the second Test against India. The England players and families as well as the Indian side have rooms in the modern Tower annexe of the iconic hotel overlooking the Gateway to India.
But although the five-star Tower accommodation is good enough for everyone else, including Mumbai's greatest Sachin Tendulkar, KP has paid for an upgrade for himself and wife Jessica to the even more luxurious Palace rooms that were refurbished to their former glory after the terrorist attack in 2008.

Bye bye Ponting.
Probably greatest Aussie captain ever but it won't be just me whose glad to see the back of him. The whole of Australia probably agree with me.

LOL A lot of them that I knew felt that way, funnily enough he never got to me.
But he was an awesome player you cant deny that, 2nd only to the short Indian chap, and lets not split hair most of Tendulkars runs were scored on crap sub continent pitches, whereas Punter could do it anytime anywhere. Won more tests as a captain than anyone and won over 100 tests as a player
I think we will see a different Ponting now he has retired, we always saw him at "work", lots of people are the complete opposite out of work.
I'll miss him
And I'd differ on Best Aussie captain, most successful yes, I mean who wouldn't be with that sort of squad around you. I'd say Waugh and Tubby Taylor were better captains, just my opinion

Don't forget it's a Wednesday start to the next Test
Hopefully we will win the toss this time and give them a lesson in old school test cricket

You are a hard man to please
273-7 with your man Jimmy handing the little master his **** once again and you STILL aren't happy.

Let's just take a few minutes of quiet contemplation to reflect upon............. how bloody fantastic Alistair Cook has been
Gone are the days where you were a captain first and batsman second, he leads from the front and shows everyone how it's done. Best Captain ever, I even have a slight tear in my eye typing this
How good is it to see India run out of ideas after having destroyed us so comprehensively in the 1st test.
Series won #fact

"7" gives ENG the kiss of death
Cook has been amazing these past 2 years, deserves all the plaudits and credit he is receiving.
Youngest batsman to 7000 test runs, most centuries by and Englishman, like I have said previously he will go on to be the highest English run scorer of all time and wil give Tendulkar a run for his money at the top spot eventually.
