Freddie Retires from all formats of Cricket
No surprise really I dont think any of us expected him to come back after seeing the state of him last summer.
Although he was never the "New Botham" he will be remembered for being a massive presence in the England team and a great entertainer, whenever he picked the ball up or stood out to bat you'd feel excited at the possibilities, not many players have had that sort of impact on English Cricket, other than Ian Bell, sorry KP in the past 10 years.
For most of us I think we'll remember him in particular for the 2005/2009 Ashes series.
Not to mention many of his off field exploits
Cheers for the ride Freddie
I think these pictures sum him up nicely

Thanks Freddie: Just does us one last favour: please don't ruin all those great memories and so promise faithfully now, that you will not go on "Strictly Come Dancing" or "I'm a Celebrity, get me out of here".
