If you think back to top flight european football only 10 yrs ago we were getting owned and the spanish / italian / german clubs were dominant.
Now we have 4 teams in the quarter finals this year. Last year it was 3 even in the semi's - ok Milan still won but at least we had teams there. Arsenal also in the 2006 final.
The other big euro clubs are definetly a lot more worried when they see themselves drawn against a Premiership club. Speaks volumes for the progress thats been made and something we can be proud of. Id say thats a big piece of why players like Ronaldo, Torres etc choose to come over here.

"Champion's League"??????? WHAT Champions? Three quarters of the clubs in THAT abomination never even won their home league LOL At Champions League.
And on present form, it ought to be "ChampionSHIP League"
Before it became the present watered down affair, when clubs could only get in by winning their league or the European Cup, we did rule, for a long time, Liverpool, Forest, Villa, for year after year.
Not now.

You said "Premiership, best in the world"
If the teams in it, beat all the other teams in Europe, as shown in the Champions league, then it must be the best .
S****horpe, right? don't tell me, grass root football

And remind me..........WHO won it last year? Since the inception of the so-called greatest league in the world, HOW many English clubs have won the Champions League?
And as for Scunny, not even grass-roots this year. Sold the nucleus of last years runaway champions of League 1 team, replaced 'em with second raters, players who can't get on the bench of teams in the division BELOW us and loanees, mostly duffers too.
Our chairman is one of the richest men in UK football, but will he spend? Nope. Will he INVEST? Nope
