Yes but we have no idea if he will be any good at the highest level. Look at the current incumbent to see what I mean. Clueless yet everyone sung his praises when he was managing at club level.

he did f'all at middlesborugh, should have never got the job.. god knows why he did (salary share?)

God. I remember watching Burton Albion when Neil Warnock managed them and interviewed him for a fanzine when he was at Scarborough. Good bloke.

I doubt many English fans would be against his appointment - he's all the attributes for the job, some may complain he's a foreigner but at least he's spent time in English football and will be aware of many of the players, and they will be aware of him.

I think it is more of a case of would he want to change to international management, offer him a contract until the 2010 World Cup and I reckon he'd take it...
