Rooney - Great strike
Great leap from Mickey O to flick it on and a cracking chest and volley from Rooney, even if it was 2 inches offside. More of the same please in the 2nd half

For you maybe. All being well, this summer, England being there or not, the Euros are cancelled. Offski round the world is more inline with my plans.....

Did anyone hear Steven Gerrards interview on 5Live, he didn't sound gutted in the slightest, almost blasé about not qualifying, seems to me these guys aren't really that fussed, very disapointed

Why are we so obsessed with a sport that wastes millions on a bunch of melodramatic poofters and that we are crap at?
Bet the Russian team is "worth" about 1/1000th of what the England team is worth.
At least we are good at rugby.

Rooney can be a little hot-headed but it wasn't a penalty, it was outside the box and I dont think he even touched the Russian player.
I don't think the players don't care if England don't qualify, its just that its hard to get pumped up when qualifying is now completely out of their hands.

It's an excuse but talk about conspiring against us with the fixtures, the pitch etc. We play on the Sat then fly out and have a day to train on the pitch. Russia had no game before so had a week together to train and prepare for that game. so much for the pitch making no difference as he brings in a few players who don't normally play but are used to it. The Fa should never have let the players play on it.
