Stewards/Police
OK,
Intrested in peoples opinions on the above around the footie grounds both good and bad, this is NOT about the clubs but rather the control of supporters.
For me BAD Reading whose stewards were way over the top even not allowing me to stand in the disabled section 1 hour before kick off just to look at the ground, as well as continually having a go at the away supporters over nothing.
Police were also very petty abot gesturing etc.
BAD Wembley stewards were clueless and were unable to understand engish.
GOOD Sheffield unt whose stewards were very calm and had a sense of humour!!
GOOD Everton police were really helpfull.

BAD S****horpe United continually telling our supporters to sit down, didnt work though as plenty of seats were broke with people standing on them making a racket.
BAD Sheff Wed, again telling the away supporters to stay in our seats
BAD Doncaster Rovers, Kick off had started, raining and there was a queue of supporters trying to get in the ground still with only 1 turnstile open but loads of Stewards stood around outside the ground supervising the queue
GOOD Huddersfield Town, 3k+ away fans and plenty of friendly banter in what was essentially a local derby.
BAD Chesterfield police being heavy handed outside the pubs with groups of fans singing. No trouble and no rival supporters around to cause any trouble with.
GOOD Notts County, very friendly bunch, both police and stewards.
GOOD Rotherham United, wet Wednesday night opened the bar at the back of the away end to let us get some shelter from the rain early on as no other pubs would allow away supporters in the pubs wearing colours.
BAD Rushden and Diamonds, poor segregation from a group of away fans and children from schools with free tickets. was appauling Stewarding.
All the other grounds have been average, nothing much to comment on.

Bad- Scunny stewards and cops, consistently ignore stuff going on in the away end, even as far as just chucking someone back into the stand, who ran on the pitch, but let ANYONE from Scunny step out of line, especially near the away supporters, and woe betide them. Any home fan encroaching on the pitch would be banned for a long time, or so we are told.
Bad-Crewe cops, ignored us when we asked for help after being attacked by around 20 Crewe "Fans"
Bad- Millwall- heavy handed with both home, and away fans.

I would say overall in the UK most of the Police and Stewards are ok, i tend to find the stewards have the biggest chips on their shoulders, give them a bit of power and a yellow coat and they think they are god
Some grounds you get a lot of attitude from them because of being from London I guess, other you can have a laugh with, but overall they are just muppets with a bit of power for several hours at a weekend.
We had one head "Seat ****" as we call them at Tottenham, away at Liverpool the other weekend moaning about the standing, kept making fans sit down then would walk the length of the row to tell one fan off making everyone stand up again to see the game, then moan that people were standing, f**king numpty
Bring back standing at football !!! Please Stand Up Sit Down
I find most of the time the Police are ok pretty much anywhere in the UK, The Spanish old bill were a different kettle of fish when the kicked the f**k out of us in the ground at Seville
