The first football strip you remember

Not with 4 black stripes it wasn't.
It had 3 and I still have mine, all the copies that have come out of that strip have 4 stripes bizarrely, I've also got the tracksuit top from the same season 76-77, red with the white/black/white stripes that went up the front up to the shoulders and down the arm
My 1st shirt was plain red with white lapels and a white V, no logo's no crest, we had to buy a MUFC club badge and m mum sewed it on, I was 4

My first kit was a 90/91 Manchester United strip. Then had a 1992 York shirt and another in 94 - Both free!!! Next United shirt was a 03/05 and now the 06 shirt, plus the European training shirt.
Had these York shirts:

Thats the one, it was deffo Admiral, maybe adidas got the **** when all the retro kits came out and their 3 stripes were better known than they were in the 70's when they probably didnt even have the patent/copyright or whatever it is on the three stripes, I think Toffs still make the 3 striped replica, and it was a great away shirt

1st sunderland kit i had. Had years of being a kid forced to wear liverpool & everton shirts the scouser side of the family baught me.
That asics shirt on the top right of Richiewongs pic i had about 4 months before it came out. A relation worked at a factory which made them & knowing i was northern thought i was a mag so she got me a sample. I had it that early it didnt have the sponsor on. Sold it to a mag me dad worked with for a fortune. Same happened with a addidas one couple of seasons later. Like a maroon & blue diagnol striped away kit if i recall correctly.
Last sunderland shirt i had was 2004
Which was the worst strip iv ever had. Quality was rubish, faded after a couple of washes. So i didnt bother with any after that.
Fingers crossed next seasons umbro offering will be of a higher standard & no doubt il be investing in that.
Current ROI & England home & away strips are most recent ones i have.

The first shirt I remember was the Everton 85/86 home, I loved it and remember other kids had one but not me, many years later I got hold off one, then 2 years ago I finally got hold of a Matchworn example which was used in quite a few league matches.
Ive got most Everton shirts from 1977 to 2006, looks like Ive got to splash out again as Everton has changed their home shirt again, for the 4th year in a row!!

Snap for me as well. I remember having this as my first kit.

Inherited the pre-sponsor 78-82 home and away strip from my cousin.
Then had a few rip-off strips for Christmas (btw, Mum, why did you get me the keepers kit?)
Guess it was cheaper
The gutting thing is, haven't seen my cousin for YEARS, would love to take him to the new stadium
Wonder if the strips will change as HD becomes more popular (show off the new picture quality, Samsung etc have the most to gain)
