Predictions revisited
Looking back at the predictions thread from before the season started - anybody want to change their minds for the start of the New Year?
Reality and LUCKO are pretty close with 4 of the top 5, and Richard_P has the top 5 right, albeit in the wrong order.
The Arsenal fans (especially Ted Maul) look like they were pretty clueless, but then aren't all Arsenal fans? (sorry - a bit of personal bias showing there!)
My current predictions:
1) Man Utd.
2) Chelsea
I can't see any other team getting into the top 2. I have to take Man Utd over Chelsea because i) I support them; ii) I think they want it more this season; iii) they are 6 points clear ATM
3) Liverpool
4) Bolton
5) Portsmouth
6) Arsenal
I think 3rd - 6th will be very tight. The big teams (Liverpool and Arsenal) have both been quite under par this season, but whereas Liverpool look to be getting gradually better, Arsenal are very inconsistent varying from appallingly poor to still quite brilliant. However, I personally think they are a bunch of prima donnas who will find it difficult to motivate themselves for a shot at 3rd place.
Bolton are very tough to beat and are grinding out results.
Portsmouth have been a revelation. Harry Redknapp has made some very astute signings of quality players (albeit a bit old!) and they have been very impressive.
To go down:
Wigan, Middlesborough and Watford.
Anybody else want to revise their predictions?
