Question Adelaide Wicket

OK so I've been listening to the overnight R4 longwave commentary on the tranny and everyone seems to be moaning about the pitch/wicket. Too flat, unfair on the bowlers, unfair on the batsman etc etc. Boring Boycott has, of course, seen it all before

But no one has said what should have been done about it, presumably by the groundsmen, in the last few months. So what should have been done? Dug up with different soil, different compaction? Or is it more grass and water or whatever? Anyone know? dl
