Is it just me, or do Jose's comments wind everyone else up too?
Today's example:
"It's just a good start at a difficult time with so many injuries and without the time to have a proper pre-season."
Granted, Chelsea have a few injured players, but so have everyone else (Carrick, Vidic, Heinze and Smith with us) who don't have Chelsea's squad depth.
Makelele, Ballack, Cole and Cech are all very good players - but when you've got Essien, Lampard, Wright-Phillips/Robben and Cudicini to fill in, it's hardly crippling to the squad. Not mentioning the £60m+ in new signings (Shevchenko, Obi Mikel and Kalou) on the pitch too.
I think the Makelele/Ballack injuries help a little too. When you have Lampard, Essien, Mikel, Ballack and Makelele (plus others) vying for a spot in the centre of the park, you're avoiding a major headache and potential fallout when a couple are having to sit out.
The same goes for the pre-season comment. From the way Jose keeps using it as a potential excuse, you start to think that he genuinely believes the entire Chelsea squad have been cryogenically frozen for a week or two to even things up.
...and breathe.

I did think what's he fooking moaning about, 15 fit players, bit early to be making excuses, then the thought vanished from my mind, like most of the tripe he spouts does, for me he's at his best when in a lighter mood cracking one liners
