Alan Shearer and Michael Owen are on their way to Redcar for a Parmo and a Lemon Top, when Steve Gibson jumps out in front of their car on the A66.

"Lads, the 1st team have a practice match but the opposition's not turned up, will you 2 play them?"

Al says, "What me and Mikey play the whole Boro 1st team by ourselves?"

Gibson says it would be a special favour to him, and seeing as he looks pretty down with 3 of his first choices having turned down the manager's job, the Toon pair agree.

At half time, Al and Mikey are leading 3-0, when a call comes in and Al has to return to Tynesdie urgently. Owen agrees to play on by himself. Later, Al meets Mikey for a drink and asks how he got on.

"3-3 draw!" says Owen.

"What? We were 3-0 up at half time!" says Al.
