Unhappy McClaren for England...

The Media are full of it today - McClaren to be given the job on Thursday. Oh dear... I suppose he's the most experienced of the Managers left in the pot, but oh dear...

A lot of The Smog fans will be delighted, as many want rid of him even now. Says it all really doesn't it? The new (possible) England Manager that's so good, his old Club's fans can't wait to get rid of him. What are the FA Doing?

I don't see why there's such great emphasis on having an English manager.

At the end of the day, we need the best man for the job, and McClaren isn't that, and I'd say the same with Allardyce or Curbishley. They're all young, and lack experience in 'big' roles, dealing with world class players.

If there were top quality English managers in abundance, then I'd be all for one. However, if there are foreign managers out there with better credentials, open up that route, without making a hash of it.
