WOW what a final. The boy did it! A convicing win. Gotta say i wanted him to win it right after his first round victory. Great stuff.

Thought it was a good match - the boy played well but I wanted Barney to win his 5th to equal the record.

Well done to the young 'un, 100-1 outsider at the start.

He seems to play in waves and REALLY can put the scores and doubles in when he needs to. The way he checked out to win the match was amazing. Normally the nerves would kick in then.

Thumbs up

What a great final!
The young chap did well - how many 180's??? and his composure under pressure was amazing for a 21-year old. Completely phased his opponent in fact.

Suresh

P.S. The studio on Dutch tv went wild when he won. His mum was blubbing all over the place. Bless!

He got Barney to play out of his comfort zone. Barney ended up throwing a lot faster than he had the entire tournement

But what an out shot, although it werent massive he'd gone out buy the time i blinked.Another thing i noticed is how fit you got to be to play the game, mentally and phisically
think about it
1.most dart players are 15+ stone
2.the heat in that place must be bad
3.the pressure
4.crowds screaming in the back round
5.playing like a bag of crap
and then to top it off a new 21 yr old giving you an *** whooping,
the sweat that comes of those guys, but the youngster didnt sweat once, all due to fitness

Look forward to seeing him play next year
