What a terrible Group D, none of them deserve to go through, only 12 goals scored between them

Closest they will get to Europe next year is a 6 a-side match on the Isle of Wight.....Even then they might struggle to get a decent team out ....

Aparently Boltons bid for an airport has been turned down by the government. They say manchester is quicker at getting in and out of europe.

Man Utd are currently 2nd in the premiership that's automatic european spot last time I checked.

Teams lose games, not managers. 15 million would of only of been the amount lost had we won the whole competition.

Made your day? Really, didn't you find anything about your own team more interesting? Or are so utterly obsessed with Man Utd that any news about them made your day?

True, in the last 13 years we have indeed been "mighty" no other English club can say that.

By the way I am disappointed but not bitter, we deserved to go out with truly pitiul performances against some meagre opposition. There is always next year.

well we played on tuesday night so there was nothing on the news about liverpool really today. Except maybe that we have gone 8 unbeaten

Im not obsessed with united, just makes me smile to see em crap these days, and wipe the smug look of their glory hunting fans faces

Every team has its ups and downs, now to say that atleast we have qualified for the champions league for several years now, better than most clubs in the country, plus we only lost 3mill and not 15 mill as you would need to get to the final to get 15 million.
Say what you will about Man U, but we are THE only team in the premiership that MAKES money, shame about the rest of you

Tony

Tony
Fergie said that he thought Man U had more chance of winning the Champions League that the Premiership, so in his eyes they have lost £15 million .

PS, for what it's worth, I'm glad you did beat them last year, we'd never have managed it

The only team in the premiership that makes money ?? I think you are way off the mark there !!

I know for a fact that spurs make a healthy profit ( as I am a share holder and get the annual report ) and I would hazard a guess that most of the top English side make a profit, admitidly the Man U profit because of all the merchandise the glory hunters buy worldwide makes a fair amount of money for the club, but isn't a lot of that offset because of the debts of Man U being very high because of the yank owner ??

And if the only subject Man U can brag about nowadays is money then I am sure the Chelsea fans on here would like to point out the bottomless pit of cash their owner has and he aint affraid to splash it about too
