what have James Beattie and the Titanic got in common?
Both should never have left Southampton!

How've you come to that conclusion then? Tranmere League 1 (and definately not going up ) and Everton in the Prem, god knows what'll happen to these thought they played OK last night.

Glad Arteta is ok though, Dirty bassas

fair enough tranmere not favourites for promotion but disagree on everton performance. they knew they needed 4 goals and didn't gamble enough for me and if i paid to get in last night as the everton fans did i would be unhappy that score was 1-0.

Dunno, the first half performance they put in what was required. you could here the Everton fans at the end of the game was happy to cheer their team to a final whistle dispite going out. Last 10-20mins looked a bit woeful but to be fair the amount of effort the put in earlier you could understand if they looked a bit jaded.

IIRC Cunard owned the Titanic, Cunard was based in Liverpool, the Cunard Buildings are still there, next to the Liverbirds.

You don't recall correctly I'm afraid, Titanic was owned by the White Star Line, not Cunard.

For the record Cunard Liners ended 'ia, e.g Mauretania, Lusitania. White Star ferries ended 'ic, e.g Titanic, Olympic, etc

Ok sailor, i'll correct it.

White Star Line owned the Titanic, White Star Line was based in Liverpool, the White Star Line Buildings are still there, opposite the Liverbirds.
