Unfortunately you are never likely to keep a decent player with Ellis around, he's too interested in the fast buck.

To be honest chaps, I never rated him (I'm a city fan) and thought apart from the game against Sweden in the world cup, he was just another one of the massive band of over rated players to be picked in an england squad by Ericcson.

But - that is looking from the outside, I dont watch him week in week out, until now.

Now he is arriving at the blue temple, we have two proven goalscorers in cole and fowler so the team shouldnt be short of goals, but if Vassell doesnt score goals, what else does he bring to the party? Fowler played the provider very well last year when he hit form and Fowler and Cole would be favourite to start every week.

I can personally only see him sitting on the bench - but for 2.5m cant argue considering we paid 5m for macken and 4m for an Argie who never played for us before being sent back for about £500k a year later!

I quite like him, he's never going to be world class, but should fit in well at city Ican see him coming in handy as a sub for you, Fowler couldn't manage ninety minutes when we had him, you've got no chance

He'll do fine at City as long as you can keep him away from battery drills
