As for 7th spot if the F.A cup final ends up being Manure V Scum then as they are going to finish in the top four and both get champions league spots the UEFFA cup place for the cup winners will go to the league, 7th place

So as you say this is a massive weekend to decide our season, we need a good result at Liverpool and we need the FA cup semis to go our way too.

Will also be nice if we get something at Middlesbrough next month.

Blame Souness

 

^ It's not as if it was an important match for us.. with all the injuries & suspensions you can forgive Souness for keeping one eye on this coming week's important make or break fixtures, even at least 2 who played 90mins were playing through the pain barrier with injuries (Ameobi/Babayaro).

In fact I think Souness would have done better playing the youngsters/squad players from the start as they seemed to do better when they came on. Saying that, Ameobi had the best chance of the match & how Milner missed our 1 gift of the whole season I'll never know _

I've been amazed and how many times we gift the opposition easy goals through mistakes/our throw ins & free kicks or inability to make simple passes and keep the ball.

For all Spurs possession Harper was never really worked and they got the luck this time round, just like same fixture last season and home league game early this season and like we did in the cup

Anyway it was around about Villa away that we wrote this season off (the league), only once ever had lower points total at this stage of the season in history of Premiership and -8 goal difference

 

and gerrard is now out for the away leg apparently, let's hope the injury stretches on beyond the spurs game

I thought Spurs played well for the first half hour and Toon for the last half hour - we were lucky with the goal, we were also lucky Milner can't shoot with his left foot!

 

..or his right and he's a left footed midfielder

TBH - I can't remember which foot he hoofed it with, I was just thankful it wasn't on target.

I think Milner deserves a decent run in the side - looks to me like a likely candidate to step into Shearer's boots.
