I know many Arsenal fans seem to have this idea that Cole has always controlled Ronaldo. But of course, that's wrong, and there is some proof

he just slipped. anyway, I'm sure what the clip doesn't show is after that bit he just runs to the corner flag, does 30 step overs then has no end product as per usual.

Cole had him in his pocket during Euro2004, and bet you were cheering on the gooner then.

when Chelsea came to the ****, they tried to give us a game of football. it was a quality game to watch, great football, both sides playing as it was meant to be, one booking if I remember. Lets see if thats what happens tonight.

I'll be the first (well maybe not the first on here tomorrow congratulating the mancs if you beat us playing some footy.

Nope, sorry but England internationals really aren't my thing, so no, no cheering of Cole then.

I'll keep my judgements of Cole's performance at Euro 2004 to myself, as I don't agree, but that is not the topic as that was an international.

If it turns out to be a decent game of football and we end up losing fair and square then I will be OK, so long as the football is good.

However, I'm in no doubt your lot will be crying at every opportunity, showing massive displays of petulance, stamping your feet everywhere only for Sky to try to hype up every little piece of non-controversy that pops along. The ref will no doubt lose his bottle too and start giving cards out left right and centre to "stamp down his authority" or in reality "make a name for himself", ala Mike Riley and we won't see any football at all.

To tell you the truth, I'm tempted not to watch it at all as United Arsenal games irritate the **** out of me thanks to the media hype that surrounds them.

I obviously want us to win, but really I don't care as at the end of the day its Chelsea's year and the game means nothing. Our point now is to make sure we finish 2nd or third above the dippers.

That picture of giggsy is superb

Viera's little "Im a big man" at the start really got them up to the task LOL

Lets face it, at half time they looked like they could go on and win it by more

We came out, rocket up our ***** and did the business

It was good to see Keano up for the fight even before we kicked off. Funnily enough he said "People every week say how nice a bloke you are" on camera to Viera which to me sums him and their sides arrogance up

Ashley Coles dive in the first few mins was comical. Better than Rooneys at OT I guess! LOL

Silvestre was a silly boy. But come on, that aint a head butt. Not a hands on ears full neck job, he leaned into Ljungberg as he came looking for a fight and got his medicine. Keano grabbed him and eased him to the floor-which I thought was a nice touch....there you go my son, down you go....and then just walked off LOL

The Silvestre thing was weird. The linesman flagged for the two punches Bergkamp threw at Silvestre first. If Silvestre hadn't kissed Ljungberg then Bergkamp would have gone off. In this clip you can clearly see the second Bergkamp punch (unfortunately Sky cut the first out). I can't believe the ref didn't even yellow card Bergkamp, especially after some of the soft yellows he gave us.

Mikky

That Ashley Cole thing at the beginning showed exactly how Arsenal intended to play that game and it was awful. If he was playing for us I would want him to go to Chelsea, horrible little ******. All the theatrics after soft challenges from big -suppposedly tough- players like Viera. YUK, that is not football. That picture of Giggs is a great example of this.

Hated the game, but so glad we won and how we won.

Great game....2nd half was a lot better than the first, Giggs had a great game as did most of the Man Utd players.

Always knew Arsenal never had any bottle, yesterdays game showed that.

What a finish by JOS for the 4th!

10 men!....weve only got 10men!....weve only got 10men!....10 men! reminded me of the Utd - City derby lat year at OT.

I said in the other thread that it was more a case of Silvestre leaning his head into Ljunburg who was still running towards him.

Sweet and innocent Bergkamp just stopped and Silvestre ran into him - Dennis went down like a sack of spuds and then lashed out at Roy Carrol.

Fair play, Man U deserved that win. Wanted it more, played good football, took your chances.

Didn't look like our boys really cared about the result which was disappointing.

Ted

Will Vieira be there next season??

I think not, his body language said it all last night and he just hasn't been the same all season, as for his attempt to get Rooney sent off, very poor and he even has the audacity to accept treatment and the spray !! when there was no physical contact.

Great result for Utd still breathless after all that happened

Hilarious how the Arsenal fans threw on the red sheets of paper at the united players including ronaldo when he took the corners....

Did the bright sparks at Highbury not consider that we too are inspired by red + white?

Love that picture Angrynorth, love the giggsy one too.

Still Buzzin'

Bring on Milan

Oh did anyone see that Schevchenko bust his foot over the weekend?

FM - yeah it was a great game, good for the prem after the last few games we've had.

Vieira - should have gone to Real Madrid in the summer. supposedly didn't get offered the pay packet he thought he deserved so changed his mind. been poor this season, but me and my gooner mates find it hard to have a go as he's been with us for 8 years and has been immense season after season..

faking and diving is pathetic, especially from the captain of the champions.

I think it's no coincidence that since Keown and Parlour left in the summer we've lost the bite. you need some british spirit in there when the battles on.

very low.

Ted - thats what I was saying about Chelsea. They have a perfect balance of british grit, determination and will to win mixed with european flair. Without Terry, Lampard and Duff (and even cole / bridge) they wouldnt be doing so well.

One thing that I love about Utd is you very rarely see them give up the fight. They will fight to the dying seconds - champs league final in 99 being prime example.

I must admit I do have a soft spot for Arsenal (when we arent playing them ) as my dad and bro support them. Theyve made some truly great records over the last couple of years. Its sad to see you guys struggling when before you were nigh on unbeatable.

Simon.
