I reckon he had a yellow shirt on underneath that blue one, dreadful decision at the end of normal time.
But at the end of the day we are:-
CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD ONCE AGAIN

Stiler I think the ref was seconded from the premiership
He appeared to be playing Old Trafford regs, i.e: The home team cannot be at fault

I'm sorry C , what are you trying to say? We must have deserved it, otherwise we wouldn't have won it
BTW have you ever heard of something called pressure?

Just watching it again on ITN News Ch.
Andre Watson - wot a shocker of a game. Hope the IRB watch the video and ensure he never gets a final again. Very very poor under pressure.

I watch rugby prem most sundays and MOST of the refs are Crap
Explaine this: advantage, so you kick the ball away and your advantage is over
Well done England

There is no doubt that they deserved the win and the honours they will receive. Great that Jason Leonard was on the field at the end.
I agree the ref seemed to be on the Aussie's side, don't think we will see him in any more big games.

I thought the ref was quite good - he was heavy sometimes, but he was heavy against both sides pretty evenly...
Anyhow, fantastic tournament and a fantastic result! I was so proud of the team and especially the fans. No fighting, no troubles, just great enjoyment of a superb sport.
It's great to see the Sydney Daily Telegraph being honourable in defeat - http://dailytelegraph.news.com.au/st...storyid=533783
The whole game is, to me, so much better than football for any number of reasons, but the friendly atmosphere is the icing on the cake.
Cheers,
Nick.

Think the trouble with the ref was the southern hemispheres interpretation of what the scrums for..(they believe its a simple restart so i am told, where it is far more to a northern hemisphere team) he just did not like england putting the pressure on.. and how did he miss 2 definite offsides at the death when Matt Dawson drew the ozzie line up (twice).. did not see him put his hand up or call an advantage.. at least Jonny was back in the pocket ready to do the bizz Paddy O Brien should have been given the game... he's an excellent ref IMHO
Watched Wasps beat Gloucester on friday night, the ref from a Wasps spectators point of view was of the same high calibre missed so many infringements...
Cheers
