England v South Africa crikkit
Last couple of years we've won quite a few series
its only the aussies we struggle with..All the other nations have been beaten recently.
Great win for England today
..The only thing that worries me is Vaughan's batting,it seems to of gone downhill since he became captain

Hats off to the side.
After the first day, it was looking as bleak as usual... but some fine batting, some form from Trescothick at last, the return of Thorpe (hurray!!) - someone decent enough to contribute to a very good partnership, and then that innings by Freddie...
A deserved victory. Just a shame that the ADSL was down all morning, so I missed the excitement of bowling the tail-enders out.
I can't see a place for Smith and Anderson come the next series, unless they benefit from yet more injuries to other players. Smith seems pretty useless, and Anderson, though obviously talented, isn't quite there yet in terms of consistency.
Good way for Alex Stewart to retire though!

Vaughans batting was always going to go downhill once he had the captaincy, I cant remember an England captain ever keeping their form after they had been awarded the captaincy, it always comes back after a few tests, if theyre lucky to last that long!! he'll be fine for the winter tour
Its a shame someone didnt throw their wicket so Alec Stewart could score the winning runs, still be the uber pro that he is I'm sure he wouldnt have had it any other way.
Great result England, some consistency would be nice though.

Great end to a series I thought, & cridit is due to both captains, especially Smith for the sportsmanship displayed, a far cry from any recent series involving the Aussies.
We just need the South Africans to draft Mr Smith into the Rugby coaching squad & we may yet avoid a total bloodbath in Perth
