...supporters, either true geordies or converts are on here?
Just wondered like, being a true Geordie (although exiled ) and supporter myself, how many other followers of Gods own team are posting?
TOON! TOON!

BUT leave your masks at home!!
Rival fans who poke fun at Middlesbrough by wearing gas masks to matches have been banned because of the current fears over chemical attacks, a spokesman said on Wednesday.
Some supporters, particularly from Sunderland and Newcastle United, have worn white chemical suits and dust masks over their faces in reference to Teesside's huge petro-chemical industry.
Middlesbrough fans have been labelled ``Smoggies'' by their Premiership rivals in the North East and some supporters have even worn gas masks for games at the Riverside Stadium.
But the club, who face Newcastle United on Wednesday night, have banned fans from wearing masks or chemical suits.
Middlesbrough spokesman Dave Allen said: ``These suits can incite crowd trouble.
``Given the world situation we feel they are particularly inappropriate.''
Cleveland Police supported the ban, although it said wearing a suit or mask was not an arrestable offence.
A police spokesman said: ``Some fans have been known to attend Middlesbrough Football Club wearing white chemical suits and smog masks.
``It is felt to be both insensitive and intimidating to wear such outfits, particularly in the current international situation.
``The club has decided it will not let such people into the ground and we agree with them, but it is a matter for the club and its conditions for entry.''

Ah, he's still alive then?
I teach at a College a few minutes drive from the Riverside Stadium. 7 weeks ago we wrote asking if a Season Ticket owning student could gain access to undertake a Photographic project, and yet again, we had no reply. This is the 6th time in 6 years, Boro supporting students have been disappointed.
Looks like we'll have to enlist the help of Newcastle Utd FC (again), who've filled the void each and every time... Shame when the local Club can't be arsed. I guess it'll be another letter of thanks to Sir Bobby, to go with all the others!
Cheers
