Blimey you must lead a very sheltered life then - you need to get out more and meet a few people or do you suffer from selective hearing perchance?

Lol selective hearing - nice one but struggling.

5 on the trot so far - have you ever gone on to win the league - NO. Says it all really. Still gives u lot something to get excited over every season as ur foray into the champs league is usually over by xmas.

Thumbs down

Hmmmm...
Think this thread should be deleted
Same old Sh1te ... didnt rally till it was too late and only 20 mins to go ..
I think its time Dudek was dropped for a bit and Kirkland given his chance
I hate to say it cos I do believe he's a great keeper but he's costing us dearly lately
Things need sorting

NAF - I ahd to sit in an office with 2 Arsenal fans and a Man Utd fan and watch the game on TV .... not pleasant!

There was also a Spurs fan there, but let's be honest, he doesn't really count!

I believe that Kirkland deserves a chance, and Dudek needs a rocket, as without his clamity things would have been a little different this afternoon - not that Man Utd didn't deserve a win as such - but I think it may have been a more open finish to the game!

The worry for Liverpool, that was a reduced Man Utd ... so if we can't beat them, struggle to beat Vitesse Arnhem, got beaten by Fulham ... where do they go now ?

I'm afraid it's the same old Liverpool story, and most likely the same result at the end of the season for us Liverpool fans - a handful of decent wins, a token Trophy (if we're lucky) and a look forward to next season's possibilities

I'm sorry to say it but I might have to agree with you on that one Jon ..
Having said that Liverpool of the last 2/3 years are a Vastly improved side compared to say 7 or 8 yrs ago
And that in itself gives me great pleasure
However they stil aint the finished article ...
We need a few more players to come in ... especially a creative midfielder .. an out and out playmaker to create a moment of magic and unlock defences which we struggle to break down lately
Maybe an out and out dedicated winger too ... someone like Duff or overmars who can offer natural width and pull the opposing teams defenders wide and leave gaps
Houllier has done a fantastic job so far imho
but like I say we still got a bit to go yet
Maybe another year or two who knows

Reds - no need to push the panic button yet, Scum have to play **** next Sat - its no good to them if they beat us today and lose on Saturday. It could be so different by 5pm Sat afternoon. I believe Pool will win next Sat and also believe Kirkland will now get his chance. We had a longer dodgy spell last year, but I think we'll snap out of this one next Sat

Yes, lets see plenty of **** doing the Scum - sounds dreadful when I put it like this.

Good thing is that we have 3 days before the Ipswich game, so we can bounce back then, get a good result and chin up for beating Charlton on the weekend.

Now that Ive had my gloat lets be serious. We didnt play that great albeit away from home against one of our main competitors. We had Becks, Blanc, Seba, Butty, Rio and Keano missing which was always gonna cause us probs. However for once our defence did quite well - gary neville was on a mission and barthez made two awesome saves that could have so easily turned the match.

Dudek made a mistake that was nothing but stupid - being a man utd fan Im more than used to these over the last few seasons The second goal I still cant understand how we scored - the ball was nearly straight at dudeks face and he flapped. Deffo think he needs to be dropped as that took the whole team down. U played very well last 20 mins and it was tense - but u seem to leave it late in every match this season especially ones where youve conceded a goal first.

We needed that win more that Liverpool as it keeps us it touch. If we can do the **** next sat it will be an amazing start to the Xmas run. Not the first time we have done this.

Simon.

The good news is that Everton lost, with two late goals from Bellamy and Shearer.

Yes, its all gettting a bit exciting isn't it ? Can't see anyone overhauling ****.

As a Red, would like back 4 stability pls, that means Kirkland, Steph, Hyppia, Babbel, Riise Midfield of Murphy, Gerrard, Hamman and perhaps Cheyrou, attack of Baros and Owen (Heskey is good, but it ends up being long ball **** when he gets on the pitch - but he does add an excellent dimension with his strength).

Am calm enough to reply on here. Yesterday was a disgrace! Caused mainly by the useless referee and his 2 linesmen who should all go & and pay a visit to Specsavers today. They missed so many off the ball incidents and how the hell did Wes Brown stay on the pitch after throwing punches like that? How the hell did he only get 4 mins of injury time from???
Dudek does need replacing for a few matches, he has cost us 11 points now. Even the hardcore on the Kop were shouting 'FFS don't pass it back to keeper' That just about sums up his display yesterday

Redkop - its always the case when there are so many stoppages that you end up losing some time somewhere. I was watching it on Sky and thought that these stoppages are breaking the momentum and that there is no way he would put say 8 minutes up there.

Also, Dudek had a nightmare in Basle too - that third goal was typically European keeping, an English keeper would have not palmed it, but held it.
