There we are settled in for another truly awful 1-0 Italy game, then up pop Croatia and stick 2 in in 3 minutes! Brilliant, the Italians didn't know what had hit them. With a bit of luck Croatia will go through into the next round over them, and we will all get to see some good attacking football.

BTW how can one of the most spectacular countries in the world, that has produced the greatest, most exciting road cars in the world, some of the most pleasant, expressive & beautiful people in the world and probably the best food & wine in the world, continually & consistently produce & support fanatically the world's MOST boring football team?

I'd have to agree that they don't seem to like attacking until they are forced into it Which is a shame given the players they have available.
Mind you they are not the only team in the tournament who once they get a lead pack everyone back into their own box and hold out for the remainder of the match (hoping to get counter attacking opportunities). Strange that a certain team closer to home didn't get critised for it. Proves that 90+% of fans couldn't care how their team plays as long as it wins.
Why can't other teams at least try to play like Brazil?

I would agree with that, there was nothing wrong with Vieri's first goal that I could see. Inzhaghi definitely pulled the defender down at the end though
