Based on the 2nd half performance against Sweden, I reckon England will lose 3-0. There needs to be a big improvement if we are to get a result on Friday. What are peoples predictions on the score ?

 

It all depends whether the midfield can get their act together and work with the rest as a team . If that happens 2-1 to England. If not 4-0 to Argentina.

 

1-1 Draw is the best we can hope for. I hope we'll beat them (it's about time and all that) - Germans had it coming for a long time - you never know

 

I don't think England will score more than one against the Argentinians, however, the Argies could score up to 4.

If we play the long ball again we are screwed, rumour has it that Vassell is dropped and Heskey is back up front with Owen, IMHO Vassell put in more effort than anyone on Sunday and should keep his place, Heskey is fast becoming the new John Barnes, i.e. picked everytime even though the press and fans can see he is not up to it, (of course i refer to Barnsey's last 3 years in the England set up)

For all those that don't think England are good enough your lack of faith is disturbing.

Did you all have the same opinion before Germany game?

Just remember for all those who think England aren't up to it you have no right should we loose to have a moan about it seen as you had no faith in the first place.

Have no doubts England CAN win this game, I'm not saying they will because noone can predict that but I am believer, we have world class players too and if they perform on the day then we can get a good result.

You can bet that Argentina players and fans won't be thinking theyve got it in the bag, they will have to work for it.

And also if England do score and do win take yourselves to one side and have a serious word with yourselves.

Our biggest hurdle is consistency, on our day we are in the top 3 teams in the world. We just need to work on doing that kinda thing all the time.

Nigeria is a worry though, they are a good side and we may be over confident.

Your right Neil we do have to put in top performances all the time to succeed at the highest level, if you dont then of course you can get unstuck, we all saw what happened to France.

However the point is we should all believe and know that if England play like they can as they did today then there is no reason why we cannot win our games.

Not sure why a lot of people do not see this and write us off, the same people ( Not just here on Scooby net but in the papers, magazine polls and surveys )will probably be out there loving it and buzzing no doubt saying " I knew we could do it"

I hope all those people have got there words on a plate, a knife and fork in there hands and are chomping on those words.

We shouldn't get carried away but we should ALL get behind the team and will them to win, they can do it no doubt about it, it will be tough but it gets a little easier with full support
