Well, I am up for a pub crawl/drive. HOWEVER! Technically this is a SIDC meet, and they frown on road driving meets generally, so we should take that into account. Must also stress I is a way slow driver, but will gladly lead a driving miss daisy group.

right, cat amongst the pigeons time........
Why is it an SIDC meet.....do SIDC own the Halfway House???
I am a member of the SIDC myself, and quite honestly am not looking to offend the club at all, but, and here it is..... who organises these meets??, ahhhhhh, I know who it is, why the regional organiser for the SIDC who is.....erm....well I don't know, because I don't think I've ever met him/her, and have never been on a meet organised by this person.........
nah, sarcasm aside, that is probably an unfair statement due to the fact that our monthly meet is small fish compared to track days and other special events (which I have not attended as yet!!)we all know that not everybody who comes to this meet is an SIDC member, but everybody seems to be of the same 'more the merrier' philosophy!. Anything that is ever organised has been done so by any one of a number of us who regularly attend!!, this makes me believe it be more a 'Scoobynet' meet coz that is where we all go to discuss our plans (and nominate some poor bugger to get things going!!! (SCOTT!!))
right, reading this, I see im just whinging, so to summarise...A pub crawl sounds great!, Scott - U the man!!, if a drive is banned by SIDC, then those of us who wish to Jaunt merrily along the great british highways should do so fully aware that we are no longer at the 'official' SIDC meet.... I would also like to point out thought, that rules like those SIDC are imposed for a reason, and so forthwith voice my 'sensible and safe' suggestion... perhaps a broken field with nominated 'group leaders / wing commanders' etc.... (as long as they all get flamage and have a lead right foot )
cheers....

Things we could do
* go sit ouside retirement homes revving our engines
* a visit to a local police station to see what they do about car mods & tinted windows
* a trip to the local cinema & ask if they can show "gone in 60 seconds" or "fast & furious"
* turn up at a golf course & really test the 4 wheel drive on those beautifully manicured greens
or:
each month have 5 minutes at the beginning of the meet to decide what we will do the next month,

Heres a link to it but i can not get through to them, i don't quite think its open yet but in a months time it maybe
I will try again next week to see if they do this type of thing. If they do, evening events are normally quite cheap £30ish
So if you are interested say Aiiiiii and lets hope they can do it

Well I really enjoyed the last meet, it was great to sit and have a good natter (and I will be bringing my knitting to the next one hehehehe). Although every now and again it would be good to do something different (and I would willing volunteer to organise something in the future as long as we are all clear what we want to do). Jen.

Scott, Aiii, always up for karting or Rob's suggestion of a little drive.Personally I think we should all test drive Chuck's 22B all night--but he may not like that
Knowlesey, revving outside retirement homes,I see you're going for slapped wrists again from the moderator
Cliff says hello & apologises for talking s**t,his mate bought the fifth, NOT the first Modena spider in the country.
Dr Jen, good to see you,now your BBS name makes more sense
We're not worthy.........JohnW

John I am glad it all makes sense to you, perhaps you could enlighten me some time!! Yeah that Knowlesy really knows how to live dangerously, I am not sure that I want to be associated with him. Got an answer to your ECU question yet?

Jen,hopefully the ECU question should be resolved today/tomorrow
(fingers crossed).I remembered someone from whom I bought a SS exhaust had a 98 PPP & found his mobile number in my neatly stored Subaru documentation (dozens of bits of scrap paper/receipts thrown in a drawer:-)
How's the doggy doo situation? Bought a gun yet?

Right
just spoken to them and they are sending me some information but the most likely option is going to be the 1hr endurance race
Because Karting has to stop at 8pm we must be there by 6pm to sign in etc(imdemnity forms can be sent out to save time some time)
Exclusive use of the track
The 1hr endurance consists of 10minutes qualifing and then 1hr race followed by presentation, lap times etc
Karting for 10-15 2person teams (upto 30 people we can have )
Price is £90 per team or £45 each
Deposit is £25 per person with balance payed 10 days before the event
Now i have got the ball rolling on the Karting and you know the costs and times, please could i have some DEFINATE Aiiiii's to see if this is possible
At the moment the 9th of May is free, so quick replys please so i could see about putting a deposit down
