interesting vid, still think Subaru lack overall refinement but they have improveed it in the Hatch model.

Think things have moved on from this report for Subaru but bearing in mind that was the old M3, audi obviously have the RS4 and merc with the AMG C63all of which have more power than JDM 2.0 Hatch Scoob.

I wonder what the Japanese testers would make of a UK spec Hawkeye

Not much can touch an Exige on track, especially one of those souped up ones.

Who's shescooby?

Most std cars would be given a run for their money by the Exige on track, though not our super souped up TSL Hawkeyed Budgiemobile

Not so sure... I've beaten a new V8 M3 on the way into Harlow before, although it was probably just an estate agent, nowhere near as talented as yours truly!

Also was only about 2secs slower than an Exige Mk2 with Nitrons round Snetterton but about 2secs faster than an e46 M3 on the old suspension. Let's not underestimate the Scoobs, this is Scoobynet after all!! (And probably a circuit with more corners would change the Exige result a bit...)

On a serious note, there's a lot to be said for driving skills. Just putting two cars head to head on track isn't a definitive test of outright performance, the drivers must be evenly matched too.
Having said that there isn't much that would get past the pace car on track with me at the wheel.

Closer with a MY08 JDM Sti though. E92 M3 just pips it at the end

You're comparing two totally different cars with that Ricky, it's a bit daft to compare the two IMO- just be happy to know the scoob is a very competent car, and you own one (not a very quick one though).
