Herts Meet?

Herts Meet?
Hi all!
I've been trying to track down the hertfordshire subaru club for a while now and have only found links to sites that no longer exist. I have seen some footage on youtube for 2007 of a meet and there was a pretty good turn out.
So anyway I thought I'd put a post up hear to see if there's anyone from the herts area who fancies getting a meet sorted?
I've found one small site Home - roystonandherts-subarus but there hasn't been much activity on there for a while.
Cheers all!

Alex can be found looking after the Herts boys, but if you fancy a day out the MSOC usually has regular get togethers in the Ruislip/Uxbridge area. A few of us are from teh Watford area so technical Middx/Herts border

Hi guys,
In 2007 the Herts meets were great, the turn outs were always good and we had a cracking bunch that met up. There was also a web site which helped out organising things.
Since then the web site died a while back and gradually the club members either moved to other jap cars or non-jap... either way ppl just fizzled out and I did try around mid last year to build it up again, but turn outs were always pretty low and just b4 xmas I gave up with it.
I can vouch for the MSOC meets, always good turn outs and a nice bunch of ppl. There's also the ESC meets which have very good turn outs so I'd recommend checking those out if you can
I've just lost my licence so wont be at any meets til June, but will be more than up for leading a convoy to either the MSOC or ESC meets every month from an easy location like South Mimms

I already had a Simtek and full de-cat and I've just had a FMIC, 550's, cone induction kit and an 18G fitted and I tell you what, its seriously quick!
If you can stretch to an 18G mate I'd highly recommend it!
And run without a dump valve - the noise of the air flowing back thru the turbo when it stalls on lift off is nothing short of sexual, lol.

The mods I've gone for ie. 18G rather than 20G, means that the std STi internals will cope fine. Even the std clutch will bear up ok (but when it does finally give way then an organic one will be on the cards).
If you go 20G you are gambling with the life of your engine - more ppl have blown engines by putting a 20G on running std internals.
Thanks for offering to let me ride shot gun at meets I'm up for it as and when they come up... and I know the routes to and from most of them

lol, yeah I'll be your tom tom... need to confirm I can do that date - will know nearer the time
I also have the 5 speed box, not as strong as the 6 speed, but still does the job sub 400bhp. I have no idea what I'm running, but havnt quite got it mapped to its fullest potential yet. I had to have the boost turned down coz of a compressing inlet tract.

With the age yours will be a little more worn, but it is lugging around a few hundred kilos less weight than a newage. Speak to Rich (Fiestaboy) at the next meet and he'll tell you the right way to go and he can do you a good rate on the work too
