Refurbin' those Alloys...
Right.... after being hassled by Guv umpteen times, and now that the excitement of MLR is finally fading..... thought I'd raise the previously discussed subject of those of you that want your wheels refurbed.
I'm sure you guys know what Woody and I paid (if not PM me) and I'm sure we can get as good a price as before.
Just a couple of terms/conditions though just to keep the costs down and things simple.
i.) We need the alloys without tyres. If you can remove them, excellent, if not I'm sure our very own MSOC sponser (Ruislip Tyres) can assist for a small fee
ii.) The guys who do the work can do them in approximately 3 days but plan to give them a week just in case.
iii.) We'll need some way of getting all these wheels down to them, anyone have access to a large estate or small van?
iv.) The guys can do pretty much any colour but if you want powdercoating then you're stuck to the usual black (satin/gloss), anthracite, silver, gold, red etc etc......
Let me know what you guys think.... and stick your names below....(don't worry Guv I've already put you top of the list )

Thought about white Mags?
This is what I'm getting tempted with... anyone wanna lend me a few grand for some airbags and then modify them to actually work like a decent suspension set-up? lol
If someone can shout when we're getting ready to do the wheels I'll see what funds are like...

Hi Guys,
As Sid's still away, (and me getting ants in me pants and need my rims before 10th October), I have spoken to a guy who I know who refurb's alloys Alloy wheel refurbishment.
I have used him a couple of times before for my Golf and Merc when he used to be mobile. He now has a unit near Stockley park and therefore local
He's quoted me £160 a set for strip, shotblast and paint for 4 sets, however if there is any major damage on an alloys he will have to charge for repair cost. As per before all wheels need to be given with no tyres and I will drop them off and collect.
As we haven;t got a price from the other chap as Sid is away (I think he was going to charge between £35-£38 per wheel) its an extra £20 max, if anyones wants to get there alloys done PM me ASAP.
cheers
