Default Some pics of the 2.1 engine build

It's been a long time since my engine went at the feb msoc meet, but the car is finally almost ready now, the short motor has been built and hopefully will be collecting the car next saturday from enginetuner, some pics of the built short motor....

I know the feeling, the wife's had mine all week since hers threw it's cambelt, it's like having your arm cut off, and I don't even drive mine every day

Initial running in will be on a TD05 18g, but ill be going for a Turbo Technics S206 turbo, as its perfect for my setup, martyn from engine tuner also runs the same setup and turbo and is currently achieving the following power/torque on vpower:

looking good ki8lla north london is getting taken over by gtrs porches and mr2 it would be nice if you came down one day and terrorised a few of them well atleast till im back.lol

Hopefully will crack the 500 mark with methanol, but then again im not really in to chasing figures, just looking for a ultimate road car and something that will run decent 1/4miles at weekends (In a reliable manner)

But a 500bhp 2.1 is going to be laggy! that's why i got rid of my MD321T, You can not tell me that the .1 is gona make it that much better?

ash md321t and s206 are a world apart compare a graph of a md321T and a s206. its such a good turbo it makes the md look laggy lol and also the md barley makes 450 on a 2 litre while the s206 would make 500 with the right bits added.

Its based on a T38 but I believe it is modified in one way or another, im sure alan or martyn could explain in detail...

As Mus says, the S206 is in a league of its own, you can not compare it against the MD321T as it will outrun it in both spool,power and torque, I'll take you for a spin in mine when its done
