Again well done Kim a lot of hard work must have gone into it.
I think after the successful weekend we can all say a big thank you for organising the event. It was excellent to meet you all and I'm glad the weather held out, just!
You'll have to let me know when the next one is, as me and Caroline will definately be up for it.
Shame hardly anyone went to Bogeys, but I dont think you missed anything, just the dancing was a little faster than in the Hotel!!!
If anyones going to Donno 3rd Nov from the group, let me know.
See ya soon
Steve

What a fabulous weekend! A massive thank you to Kim for all your hard work sorting the ferries and hotel out for us! Top work! I really enjoyed the weekend and want to say thanks also to everyone who went for making it such a laugh .
Good to meet you Steve. Cheers for sorting the Chequers out and for pointing us in the right direction!
I'll try and sort my photos out this week and post them up. Anyone want to see Alex and Chuckster on their zebras?
Mark H...how much do u want not to show the one of me in the steam train?
Hope to see some of you at Scoobysnacks on Thursday. Thanks once again Kim...just remember "Red rum, red rum"

What can I say - fantastic weekend, and that’s putting it mildly
Big respect to:
Ronnie - for suggesting the idea in the first place (even though he couldn’t make it in the end ). What started off as 6 people going away for a weekend turned into 50 people having a blast
The hotel in Sandown – wasn’t that something else (Rhubarb/Steak & Kidney Crumble for dessert, poor Dom). Was definitely based on the hotel in Stephen King’s “The Shining” - thanks for that one to 555Markus and MarkHutton (aka MattL ), scared the pants off me alone in that corridor!
Steve (aka Rosco) for sorting out The Chequers, the guided tour around the island on Saturday, and finding us today when we were lost (should have been impossible to do, but somehow we managed it) (Good to finally meet you and Caroline).
Alex (aka Dr Evil) for organising the Chinese restaurants – which then all disappeared without trace (the barstewards!) and the tour of the island today (did like the wrong turning ).
Chuck, for sorting out the Southampton hotel on Friday night (for the “I need my sleep” light-weights and heavy drinkers among us). Did you make it to the club in the end???
Emily (2) for feeding unwanted sweets to the fish at Alum Bay, and Calvin (5) for shooting at us from the hotel balcony when we were half cut.
GeoffN, for going out clubbing, and saving Chris the pleasure of clubbing him when he came back
Chris for the champagne, dancing with the granny line dancers’ coach driver (42, never – 25 and a sailor!!!), Nicki, Brenda and Ang for the laughter (we know what we were talking about, even if Andy, Scott (cess-pit eyes), Ross & Barry didn’t).
Iain (aka Dyney), for not quite being able to hit me on the head with a snooker cue (the yellow hard hat saved me ), and of course Ang for shaking the chair lift at Alum Bay, drinking the blue cocktail (Anti-Freeze) with me, and being a good all-round mullet/girl on girl sister (Iain - have just seen that picture, you’re dead meat )
Jase for sorting out the club (even though no-one really made it there – sorry, the dancing granny’s were just too entertaining!).
Keith & Julia for the photo shoots (what were you two up to in that field this afternoon? ) – can’t wait to see the Roman/Military Road footage.
Plantie, for showing the lion what Subaru keys look/sound like – he sure wanted/tried to give you a pounding
ScottW, for quietly watching our (Plantie, Neil & Emma, Dom & me) parking skills at the hotel without taking the pi88 too much – hope your car’s okay
Steve (Manning) – Happy Birthday again for Saturday (could just squeeze Robyn to death, she’s so cute).
...EVERYONE – you were great – it wouldn’t have been worth it without you all. My jaw is aching from laughing (and all the drink )
Photos will be posted soon - should be some good ones
Invasion of France next???
Kim
p.s. Red Funnel Boy (aka Dom) says Hi Sailors
p.p.s. thanks again for the card, flowers and choccies - they were great

Thank you Kim for a fantastic weekend and thank you to everyone else for making it so much fun.
Dr Evil for the Blackgang Chine park thing! So funny, just the image of Mark K getting down the slides will live with me for a long time, not to mention the bee hives!
Mark L if the picture comes out I don't know if there is enough money in the world!! You looked like you were having so much fun, everyone should see.
Iain for the navigation to Alum Bay Apparently there is a road straight there, but you route was much more interesting!
Oh a big thank you to the head waiter guy in the hotel on Saturday at 7:35 when we booked in at 7:30 'So are you ready to come in yet?' amazing. Though we didn't upset him knowing our look his name would have been Jonny.
Thank you one and all again for a great weekend and proving that if you get more than two Imprezas driven together silliness ensues.
MattL (aka Mark)
Yes I made it though the post without mentioning importing cars from the IOW!

Glad you had a good'en, was it a fame fancy dress comp btw? (refering to wicked hair doo shot up top)

Top Weekend, well done Kim.
Nice to put some faces to names, even if I only remembered them for 5 minutes.
Best thing: The kids loved it. If the kids are happy, Mum and Dad are happy. Boat trip at Alum Bay: Who negiotiated the SIDC discount, anotherreason to be a SIDC member
Worst part: Trying to stop Karen from laughing too loud when I explained that we were going to be filmed in convoy
Looking forward to Donnington, maybe see some of you there.
Thanks again
David, Karen, Emily and Jack.
P.S. Jack says Hi to Matthew.

Absolutely fantastic weekend
Nice to see soooo many scoobs and drivers in one place Good to see some familiar faces and some new ones
Had a great time "bringing up the rear" but I didn't trust myself to do anything else after mine and Em's little de-tour on the way to the hotel (really just wanted to do that excellent stretch of the road round the mountain - eh Plantie?) lol!!!
It was great - everywhere we went heads were turning usually followed by the words "****, how many subaru's, 1,.....2,......3,.....4,......5" then I think they gave up counting
Very funny at the Zoo, think Plantie was certainly 'Marked For Death' by the beast he tormented with scooby keys And to Dom for pointing out that one of the cages was a bit small and the tigers could easily jump out
Special mention to the captain of the boat for the Needles tour, "hello to the Subaru Drivers Club on board, buy a decent car" and that for some bizarre reason to get discount for the trip we all had to pay seperately to Lord Lucan and then give it to him, if someone can explain the logic..........
Thanks to Steve for all his help as a local and for coming to the rescue when we got lost
Finally big thanks (again)to Kim yet again for organising yet another belting weekend with a whole load of other enthusiasts, best weekend since Alton Towers
Scott - hope you get your car sorted mate and its something silly, even though you still beat me home Did have a laff with a Boxter S though
Thats about it - except for ROLL ON THE FRANCE TRIP
See ya
Neil.

Have just woken up after 10 hours sleep and am STILL exhausted - gotta go to work in 2 hours [whinge mode] I don't want to...
MarkH (aka MattL ) - big thanks for the IOW mints - they will go down well at work - you're a life saver
Gary, your missus (aka Brenda), is a top bird. Go on, give her a drive of the car, she handled ours well
Chuck - grandad mode well put
LOL @Ronnie - did miss you on the ferry, even did a boat trip at Alum Bay that you would have LOVED
MarkK - still stunned you were up at 6!!! (You still owe me that drink BTW )
Thanks to Steve and Jase for the various discounts at Alum Bay - still spluttering from that chair lift (should have walked)
Another favourite moment - two little kids when we were lined up for the return ferry - "Jesus C, look at that, what're ya doing???" LOL
...and the guy in the Shell garage at Southampton "Well, I was having a quiet night thinking, is it ever going to pick up, and then you lot pulled in, wow"
Signing off
Red Rum Red Rum
p.s. does anyone know how to fix a squeeky tricycle wheel?

Huge thanks to Kim for organising this weekend, awesome event!
To repeat Chuck's sentaments (SP!) , good to see everyone being sensible when in convoy.
Sorry about the chinese fiasco, but those that tried to book, realised what I was up against...
I'm glad the Black Gang Chine peeps liked it in the end.. ooo musical bridge.. Rumpus Manor - spooky... crooked house - disturbing!
Thanks to Chuck for Saturday night, and to Mark Mkhan for the flight over to Newport... mate, the look on my face was due to my other halves' nails firmly embedded in my leg! I must go out with you without the baggage next time
Thanks to everyone for a top weekend with a great bunch of people... yes even you Dom (pss.. don't feed Dom JD again, he gets leary ).
Thanks again to Kim

Definately was a great weekend. Can't wait for another. The only downer on the weekend was having to push the bike twice. Still I made it home eventually.
That reminds me, Does anyone want to buy a 916? It's very reliable, never had a problem with it. Seriously though £5,700 if anyone is interested.
Anyway all have fun and see you all on the next outing.
