SW run to the "Festival of speed"
#1
Hi all,
As discussed today at the SW meet.
We've booked tickets to go to the very excellent festival of speed at Goodwood for the third year running.
Date is Sunday 8th July, gates open at 9am so will probabaly involve a fairly early start.
We need to pass through Newbury to drop the dogs at Jackies Mums (nice route)
Let me know if you're interested in coming along and i'll arrange a meet time/route etc.
Tickets need to be booked for the Sunday - Tel 01243 755055

Bob,
That'll be three P1's in a row then !
Still be running in I suspect.
For all those coming in from different reigions - two years ago, we had a big meet up in a huge carpark just north of the Goodwood race course before all convoying in together (25 cars approx'), security guards were double taking ! Anyone fancy doing this again. Maybe someone with some better local knowledge could be more accurate with the venue.
Cheers

I remember responding to your original post, can't remember a day being specified though - can you change the day???? It would be good to see us all there together

Hi all,
Had a quick look at the map, and the route is south from Midhurst on the A 286. Huge carpark on the left on a right hand bend (from memory) bit gravelly and dusty but o.k - Just before the race course.
Would be good for a group of us to meet before going in. How about we meet at around 9.30am ? Action won't start too early.
Cheers

All are welcome for rides in the car at Wroughton. Please remember its a new car so I will be taking it steady well up to about 120ish I expect. The tyres must also be usable for Goodwood the next day

Hi Steve
Hope to be there but still trying to work out diary etc.
I think we'll be a last minute entry & may have to meet just outside cause we're visiting friends.
Anyway let you know soon.
