Bristol dealer open day 31/6 and 1/7
#1
Tileys of bristol are holding an open day on the sat/Sun above.
Events already organised are a Pig roast on both days, WRC radio controlled racing circuit - 3 laps - winner takes one of the cars.
Various cars will the shown including the new UK300.
Demo drives of various cars will be available.
They are hoping to get a rally car down from Prodrive.
Your very friendly SIDC regional organiser will be in attendance on both days to take any club questions/hand out application forms etc.
Hope you can make it, should be a couple of good days. Maybe we could have a SW meet during this event ?
Steve.

Someone from Glos, did you know Steve Bessell is your organiser.
Here in Bristol we are still looking for one.
Most Bristol/Glos/Somerset meets are on a Sunday so I would have thought most of the lads will be there Sunday. I will be there both days as will your organiser.

I've got some bits to sell now - Towbar, dig guard, Cibies etc. Might be a good idea.
Think Bristol is in South Glos' ?
I was thinking of trying to be there 10am to 2pm on both days ? Maybe we could all meet on the Sunday, around first carving of the cracklin' ?

There is quite often a few STI's Jap WRX's parked in the car park.
Steve/Nozzer
Bristol is not in South Glos. It was Bristol then Avon now back to Bristol.
Could also do with that dig guard, Misses bought a small spade yesterday.

If we are going to have the pig away we will have to eat it at our usual meet place. What we don't eat we sale to the van.

I popped into Tiley's again today. Saw my MY98 old bluey there. It was right next to Ian's MY97 bluey which was right next to my old MY00 Silver hesitating bag of sh!te. They did look sad with there spoilers missing, I think they are waiting for Steve's red wagon to join them. Then they can all chat about the old Exmoor runs they have survived.

Bob,
Of the 30k my car covered in nearly four years, I reckon around 1k was either doing 6 official runs across the moor or the various recce's that we did. Probabaly tyre wear being the most costly for me - for some others it was stone chips(ian) for following too close. There are advantages to leading !

firstly, I live in North Bristol which is in South Gloucestershire ! Possibly we the SIDC have called me the Glos' organiser ? Maybe we change meet venues to North Bristol ?
Simon and all,
What about 12noon Sunday to have our gathering ? We could then laugh at each other trying to race the RC cars !! Although some of us may have had a bit of practice by then.

The spoilers that are removed at Tiley's are rear spoilers. Someone keeps jumping the fence and ripping them off.
Some may have an advantage over the others in the car race.
Wonder who's car that is?

You don't get of that easily Steve.
If North Bristol is South Glos. South Bristol must be North Somerset. East Bristol will then be West Bath and East Bristol Must be part of Wales.
These are the wards of Bristol:
Ashley
Avonmouth
Bishopston
Cabot
Clifton
Clifton East
Cotham
Easton
Eastville
Frome Vale
Henbury
Henleaze
Hillfields
Horfield
Kingsweston
Lawrence Hill
Lockleaze
Redland
Southmead
St. George East
St. George West
Stoke Bishop
Westbury-on-Trym
If you do not live in one of these wards then you do not live in Bristol. Noth, South, East, West and near Bristol is not Bristol.
I know a Nice pub in Stonehouse, Glos where the meets can be held.
Have a look at the site Streetmap.co.uk
You will see North Glos, Somerset and Bristol as differant area's.
Once again I thank you.

Bob,
Are you related the the late Sherlock holmes ? We can't keep any secrets from you can we ! O.k i'll admit - I did think of dusting down old red RC and giving her a blast and putting some WD40 in the right places, purely for research purposes you know. Body work is looking a lot more battered noe though(Jackie had a go, well thats my excuse)
Must get some of those tyre inserts to help with the understeer, maybe a extra powerful motor and a downpipe etc etc !!!
Looks like i'll have to paint her Sonic blue now as well.
Steve.

Thankyou Simon, Hear that Steve now you have to have a meet in a run down pub. Cannot remember the pub I went in I use to let my young pigeons go from there it was just training for there first race. On main road right hand side as you enter stonehouse. Should be good enough for a Glos meet
