I`ve been around, just been sulking a bit really Im the type of guy that cant sleep if I know i`ve got a brake light not working, so this engine problem is getting me down
On a brighter note though, I was speaking to my mechanic (Jim) today, My engine should be coming out next weekend and a diagnosis will take place at least. I wont have any money to repair it till at least january, but my wife has just agreed in principal a few extra mods too, including lightened flywheel, forged pistons, FMIC, fuel reg, remap, boost controller, possibly more, and Jim has an up pipe for me already to fit. All parts will be at trade price and the engine will be re-boared etc and made brand new too.
Then we`ll see if Swiss cheese can beat me

nah nah, give me time to get my scoob back on the road and i`ll race anyone
Im not unaccustomed to getting beat either, in fact i`ve lost twice to Steve R on SOX-JAPOC, once to Nicky B on SIDC, I beat an STI5 wagon at the pod on time even though I lost across the line, and also got beaten by a Pulsar GTIR quite easily at shakespeare raceway. Thats not even mentioning the blobeye STi that I caned off the lights at the pod, but my clutch slipped through 2nd and 3rd gears so my 1/4 time was 22 seconds at about 43mph

****************Official Wycombe Announcement*****************
As many of you are aware, the title of fastest scoob in Wycombe has been retained by our very own, local lad, made good who lives up the hill over in cressex way.... (allegedly )
Well yesterday that title has now officially (times are official cliff ) been rudely snatched from him by yours truely
2 faster times were posted and although the track conditions were so-so, there was quite a hefty head wind....
The result was greeted with a wry smile and quiet confidence, not some silly victory dance across a field or some girly quickstep shuffle in a car park
Read it and weep .................................................. ......................D

Well done, very good, you`re great, you`re the best, what would the world do without you, how did I survive before I met you, I wish I was like you, infact, I wish I was you, can you be my dad please, im so proud, la la la, da da da, blah blah blah, etc etc and all the other great compliments I cant be arsed to type that should be reigned upon your greatness
So anyhow, back to earth, we`ve now got a new WYCOMBE CHAMP, (by default due to the current holder being sat at home thoroughly fcking peesed off cos his scoobs ill and others are out racing and having fun while he`s not!!), but Swiss is still the champ, long live the king etc, but i`d like to think you`ll refrain from celebrating till at least I have a car on the road to race with!!! Then, we`ll have a real battle of Wycombe, including all the other locals, plus Swen, Budgie, Paul Davies etc, for the title of "KING OF THE WYCOMBE MEET" title
Bitter...................me? ....................never!!! ...............ok, maybe slightly
Cliff
Ex-champ, now chump
