MENCAP 2005 - Thanks!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, is just about all I've got to say to you lot
Another amazing event, once again flew by and I can't believe it's over for another year. Thanks to all who travelled down to join in, thanks to all who supported us with kind comments on the thread and massive thanks to SGT Subaru of Reading for donating the Jacket, Umbrellas (or should that be Umbrella and sunshade ) and hat, Phil, SIDC Chairman, for donating the SWRT signed SIDC flag and Simon, from East Sussex Scoobies for the Scooby Stop, Diff Guard, Turning Vien and Slam Panel. You're all stars and I owe you huge favours
The auction and sponsorship registered on the day raised almost £8,000 - about the same as last year, so hopefully we'll be on target for the £11,500 we wanted to beat
I had a great day, and hopefully caught up with most people. It was fantastic seeing all those Scoobs on the lovely roads of Somerset...
My legs are aching from dancing and I'm still really tired, so it must have been a good weekend
Thanks for making the effort to join us.
If you enjoyed it, I'd be really grateful if you could drop an e-mail to Dave, the organiser to let him know, dave.bullen@mencap.org.uk or post here so I can forward your comments on. With any luck he'll do another one next year Fingers crossed this wasn't the last year.
Will download photo's when I get home.
You're all fantastic
Jen

Thanks guys
It was a great day and a great night, although Dan claims not to remember dancing with Iain, lol!
Re: the top - good idea We've got the pics of Iain now anyway and I'm sure you will regret it Simon, but that's half the fun

Never did get to find out what "team Mad Cow" was,!
But anyway, what an excellent weekend, entertainment in the eve was top with the auction/ disco etc.
Just hope there will be one next year as good as that.
Cookie, (Slightly tipsy guy on a micro scooter with pink hair!!) Think that sums up what the evening was like
