EastSussexScoobies EVENING meet Tue 10 May
Well it's Coopers again - 7 for 7.30 drive to Beachy Head for a "Scoobs in the Sunset" dream scenario !!!! The route between the two pubs will be a bit longer and a bit more twisty this time, taking in glorious features such as the Boship roundabout and 'High n Over'....(route directions provided)........GOSH and GOLLY you all cry !

Since you asked.
I was involved in a 5 car shunt about 6 weeks ago.
We were happily travelling along a dual-carriageway (70mph limit) when the traffic in front started to slow due to an accident ahead. We slowed and stopped as did the car behind me (an Audi 80 estate), next thing we hear a skidding noise followed by crunching noises then we were pushed foward into the car in front of us. What we think happened (still waiting on the police report) is that the 2 cars behind the Audi hardly slowed at all and they hit the Audi at around 60mph which pushed him into me etc.
The car has been declared a catC write-off, but I`ve bought it back sourced all the parts and it is now in a bodyshop having the rear end rebuilt.
The insurance assessor quoted £7300 for the parts + labour, hence the write-off.
I`ve sourced all the parts for £1800 and the labour charge will come to £1500 (this includes a full respray)
The car will now have a carbon bonnet, carbon bootlid and carbon Sti6 rear spoiler and a full crystal facelifted frontend (except for the bumper).
Hope to see you all soon
Paul

Hi Scooby-Dood. Yes - we had a nice drive thank you.
So 10 cars for our first evening meet, so we shall have another next month ! Same route - some of those bends need practice!
Nice to meet newbie Pat, who swelled the Hastings contingent to three Scoobs (be having their own meet next).
Thanks to you all for turning up.
Keith
