Cool Cambridge meet?

It's been a while since we had a Cambridge meet, so how about next week sometime?

Funny that, was thinking just the same thing.

Unfortunately can only do Wednesday or Friday.

Could do any day bar Tuesday the following week though

Hiya

Weds bit tricky, could do Friday I think. It'll be good to meet you all (...I work with Adam, tis he who 'scoobied' me in the first place!). I have a '95 WRX on which I'd like to optimise the suspension for enthusiastic road use and the odd trackday. Am very interested in others' setups. Am concerned not to go overboard on spring rates and high-speed compression damping, having already lost a few fillings from my teeth on coilover'd VWs...

I can do pretty much any day, but I'll need to leave early if it's any day next week.

Related question: anyone fancy a curry for change? Pipasha on Newmarket Road (opposite the CU football ground) usually has spaces for at least six cars.

There's plenty of street parking nearby, but I know how people feel about that!

It's just I don't know any other good curry place with parking close by.

All are welcome - you don't even need to own a scooby to attend any more

What is the general concensus then? Shall we meet at the pub tomorrow and do curry another time?

Probably the best way given the short notice - and we can discuss curry while we're there!

So, what day? Shall I propose Wednesday 27th April, 7:30 at the usual in Fen Ditton?

Cool Details

OK, next Wednesday 27th April it is then. 7:30 at the Plough in Fen Ditton.

Directions for those that need them:

From the A14 Eastbound come off at the Fen Ditton turn-off (B1047 I think) towards Cambridge. After a couple of miles, in the centre of Fen Ditton, turn right (the Blue Lion pub will be on your left as you do so). Follow the road down for about 100 yards, then bear right at the War Memorial. Follow the twisty tiny road round for another 200 yds or so. There will be a sharp left, and then a bit further up the pub is on the left while the road continues round a bend to the right.

From the A14 Westbound, come off at the A1303 exit bearing left towards Cambridge. Keep going straight over traffic lights etc until you see a traffic light junction with a right hand turn signposted Fen Ditton. Go right up there, and about 1 mile up there turn left at the Blue Lion pub and follow directions as above.

Map is here: http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.c...t.x=6&out.y=10

Hiya,

Will look forward to meeting you all next Weds. I'm the new to the group with a silver '95 WRX, pal of Adam with the blue RA V-lim.

Am very interested to chat about suspension and maybe blag a ride in a modified Scoob. I'm wanting a real-world-real-roads setup so am thinking ARB/droplinks/geom/bumpsteer/alk(maybe), Eibach or STI springs, KYB AGX or STI dampers, or maybe coilovers if the manufacturer is willing to talk specific spring-rates (Leda?).

cheers
Andy

Hi Grahame,
Sussed it - so you got a Merc then !
You used to be indecisive about which car you wanted - now you're not so sure ???
