Question HELP Essex Boyz... Keys locked in car (NOT Scoob) Anyone got a 'Slim Jim'

As per thread......

Yes, it's official, I am indeed a pillock. I have gone and locked my keys in the Cavalier.

Has anyone got either a Slim Jim or perhaps a skeleton key for a late 80's Vauxhall (no questions ask )

Answers gratefully accepted.

Ed.

BTW, don't mention the AA/RAC as I don't belong to either

Nah, not yet.

I'm hoping that I won't have to turn violent with it. I'm going to pop into work soon (although I'm actually off today ) and see if some of the blokes next door (YOU know the ones ) have got the desired implements.

Can't you reach up through the rust hole in the front wheelarch and pull the keys out with a stick?

Forgot to mention that a little scam you could do (but I'm not reccomending this) like a friend did when he broke down was to join the AA/RAC one day and call them out the very next sorted

This had crossed my mind, but I think they've cottoned onto this and won't deal with a call out for at least a week after joining.

JohnD, mate, it's only the rust thats holding it together!!!

BTW, did I mention the bother I'm also having the Capri as well?????

At least the Scoob is running well after a service yesterday

Have you given Knowlesy a call? or asked the AA/RAC how long you have to wait till you call them out?

Day 42 of the Cavalier crisis

I have now been able to 'source' a Slim Jim, and will be trying to break into my own car shortly

Steve, it's not fraud, it's gaining a service by deception Have a great night tonight.

Andy, Now on my 17th coat hanger

Kate, yep, I've got your PM and the new number is in my phone, ta.

And to you all, I am GENUINELY touched by all your help.

Thanks very much
