EastSussexScoobies TWO August meets!!!!
Okay - two options this month.
There will be an evening meet at the Lamb Inn on the A259 between Eastbourne and Little Common on Thursday 12th August from 7pm. Food is apparently very good, plenty of parking, etc. If you are new, I shall wear some distinctive apparel!
Second meet is at Coopers as usual from 2pm on SAT 21st August. Usual format - some of the newbies at the last meet fancied a leisurely drive to the Beachy Head pub, which we shall try to accommodate this time if there are enough "chaperones".
Regarding the joint meet with KentScoobies, destined to take place on a weekend lunchtime somewhere around Tunbridge Wells (half way between us), we are having trouble agreeing dates; but it WILL take place, hopefully in September.
Any questions?

A TW meet in December would be nice, as I might actually be back in my old stamping ground around them (would be back in september, but my brother is coming out here to teach me how to party )

Hi there!
I have a question for you.
Is there any age barrier for attending these meetings, and do you have to own a modified car?
Wait a minute.......doh!........I posted the above!!! (Dyney - I need my pills!)
The answer is NO and NO! (And you don't have to "turn up in a Turbo" either)
ADVANCE NOTICE!!
The joint meeting will take place on SUNDAY 12th September. We will leave Eastbourne area around 11am and take a nice route up country to meet the hospitable Kent bunch. They are all VERY friendly!

I'll be there with the other half on the 12th, without fail this time!
I haven't eaten at The Lamb for 3 or 4 years but the food was always very good back then.
Not sure if i'm working on the 21st yet.

Be good to see you. Were you in Pevensey earlier this week?
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NEWBIES - There will be no initiation ceremony for newbies, and neither "Subaru Team Colours Man" or Subarman will be there. They are only allowed out at weekends. I will be wearing something that says Subaru or a rally tee shirt or something. Just come and say hello. On second thoughts, perhaps I should dress up?

I had a nice humble UK WRX when I first started going to these meets a few years ago. I was happy as anything and chuffed to bits with my car.
Keith (No bars Krud) and I then went to a rolling road meet with standard cars and felt a little embarassed as everyone else whoooped our **** on the rolling road A year down the line I had spent a fortune and had one of the most sorted WRX's in the country at that time IMHO.
In the quest for more power and with endless encouragement from the meet crew I bought what I thought would be a car I wouldn't need to mod. A Jap 300 bhp STi9 Twin Scroll.
6 Months down the line, same story and loads more power.
It really is a slippery slope. Just don't look too hard at the cars on display

Nathan, Your problem was you were corrupted by the Sith Lord, Darth Rawle Once you're in his power, there is no turning back (Guess whose been playing SW:KOTOR )
Have to agree, go to a meet, you'll want to mod. It's evil I tell you, pure evil!
