I popped my girlfriend the question.....
..and she said YES!
I took Heather to Paris this weekend via Euro star, we arrived early Saturday afternoon, took a whistle stop tour of the Champs Elysees, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower then onto Le Procope - allegedly the oldest restaurant in Paris, where I asked Heather to marry me. To say I'm a happy bunny is an understatement! She loved the ring I chose so a double result!! We'd already had a bottle of wine before I proposed (steady the nerves etc) so once we'd finished the champagne to celebrate we were so merry it took us an hour to find the hotel afterwards!
Our hotel was in the Opera region by the Place de la Concorde, where on Sunday morning I took my fiancé to a lovely cafe for breakfast, then onto the Louvre via the Jardin des Tuileries.
Then it was time to return home, good timing since we were missing Elena quite a bit. I've been telling Elena all about my plans for the past month and not a word to mum, she's so clever for her age!!
Who says romance is dead eh? and my credit card is still alive!

very nice way of doing it too!, however you could have taken her on the posers cruise to southend, queued up for donuts in the cold and popped the question on the sea wall

Thanks all
The wedding will be self funded, so the Westy may be up for sale early next summer
but I've 3 trackdays booked this year and hopefully the ring in Spring
Looks like a few of the Peel regulars are getting hitched, who will be next on the Peel hitlist???
Lawson or Fisher (had to find a use for that smiley )

Romantic is what im doing in three weeks ........
Getting married in Gretna green then straight off for a 17 day tour of the amazon. Fishing for piranha, sleeping in hammocks, mozzy nets, snakes, crocs, spiders, leaches, you name it, its there. Any women who can handle that is the one for me
Oh and she can cook clean and lift patio slabs which is a bonus for when the romance starts to fade a bit ....... lol
